About the Role

The Medical Care Specialist will be responsible for carrying out selected procedures, administering medications, and treatments requiring technical ability, in accordance with Halifax Health's policies. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
  • CURRENTLY LICENSED OR ELIGIBLE FOR LPN LICENSURE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA
  • GRADUATION FROM AN APPROVED SCHOOL OF NURSING IN A COURSE OF TRAINING FOR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES
  • MUST HAVE ONE YEAR'S EXPERIENCE IN MED-SURG OR OTHER ACUTE CARE AREA
  • PROFESSIONALISM IN INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS WITH PATIENTS, PATIENT FAMILIES, COLLEAGUES, PHYSICIANS, AND ANCILLARY DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL
  • ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR IV RESPONSIBILITIES

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This position also offers opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
