Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a full-time evening shift position.
- Assist in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including general physical and mental condition, for signs indicative of adverse change.
- Notify attending physicians of emergencies and patient deaths, implementing changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be a Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Have a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and commit to renewing every two years.
- Be willing to work as a charge nurse and provide adequate coverage during emergencies.
- Provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- Hold CPR certification, renewed annually.
- Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
