This is a dynamic role that requires deep technical expertise in chiller operations, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring standards are met, performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mobile chiller units, and evaluating and diagnosing mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of large chiller systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mobile chiller units to minimize downtime and extend system lifespan.
- Evaluate and diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions; implement effective repair strategies promptly.
- Monitor system performance and make adjustments as needed using control software and diagnostic tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety laws, industry standards, and company policies at each job site.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service reports for all chiller systems serviced.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in engineering, HVAC technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid journeyman certification or equivalent experience in a similar mobile engineering role.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with large chiller systems (600 tons or more).
- Universal EPA Required.
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, chiller mechanics, and control systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems on-site.
