Job Overview

We are in search of a proficient Maintenance Technician to conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs on various packaging machinery, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), and robotic systems. Expertise in PLCs, HMIs, and motor drives is crucial. A comprehensive understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems for effective troubleshooting and repairs is necessary. The selected candidate will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and will be responsible for reporting any observed noncompliance. Additionally, adherence to all company safety protocols is essential, along with assisting in their enforcement when required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • Minimum of 3 years in Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing/Production, particularly within the Food and Beverage sector
  • Experience in a dynamic, multiphase production environment
  • Proficient in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC 3-phase
  • Experience with a variety of equipment, including case sealers, powered conveyors, flow wrappers, heat tunnels, baggers, and robotic cells
  • Knowledge of HMIs, AC/DC motor drives, and PLCs for basic troubleshooting or coordination with external programmers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Safe and proficient use of various power and hand tools, along with testing equipment
  • Capability to operate a forklift
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for extended periods
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and equipment drawings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical and mechanical production equipment throughout the facility
  • Identify malfunctions and defects in electrical and mechanical systems across all automation equipment
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations during work activities
  • Manage time effectively and complete all tasks assigned by supervisory personnel
  • Report damages, defects, and other issues related to electrical and mechanical units to the supervising manager
  • Work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
  • Utilize the CMMS system for tracking preventive maintenance, work orders, repairs, and parts inventory
  • Adhere to corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report any noncompliance observed
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in their enforcement as necessary
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
