Position Overview
We are in search of a dedicated, detail-oriented, and passionate Permanent Labor and Employment Junior Associate to become a vital part of our dynamic legal team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage in significant work within the legal sector, specifically focusing on labor and employment law. The successful candidate will handle a variety of labor and employment matters, including wage and hour disputes, single-plaintiff harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims.
Key Responsibilities
As a Permanent Labor and Employment Junior Associate, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Assisting in the preparation and management of cases related to wage and hour disputes, single-plaintiff harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims.
2. Conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and developing case strategies under the guidance of senior attorneys.
3. Collaborating with the legal team to ensure optimal client satisfaction and efficient case management.
4. Participating in client meetings and hearings, providing valuable insights and legal advice.
5. Staying informed on the latest legal trends, court rulings, and regulations in labor and employment law.
6. Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations at all times.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Labor and Employment Junior Associate position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 2-6 years of legal experience, preferably in labor and employment law, although civil litigation experience is acceptable.
4. Proven experience with wage and hour issues, single-plaintiff harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims.
5. Exceptional research and report-writing skills.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and convey complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
