ABOUT THIS POSITION:
The Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team collaborates with leadership across the firm to assess and manage financial risks while developing solutions through detailed quantitative analysis, forecasting, and projection. Our responsibilities encompass firmwide business planning and transformation initiatives, working closely with various departments to create and oversee the firm's strategic and financial plans, including the Profit & Loss statements and financial resources.
We focus on identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the firm's performance against established metrics. The FP&A team is also tasked with executing initiatives aimed at transforming, streamlining, and innovating business processes throughout the organization, ensuring the availability and reliability of financial information for internal stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of the FP&A team, you will play a pivotal role in managing the firm's forward-looking business planning and strategic transformation initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes, ensuring collaboration with various stakeholders. Develop timelines, reporting templates, and shared assumptions.
- Financial Reporting: Consolidate and review monthly financial reports for stakeholders, submit expense projections, and update allocation projections.
- Accounting and Controls: Review monthly sub-ledger activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of expenses, book necessary journal entries, and maintain methodologies for expense allocation.
- Reporting and Analytics: Conduct historical trending and analysis of expenses, perform month-to-month fluctuation analytics, and provide actual vs. budget reporting.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong technical skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting, budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets and ensure data quality.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with accounting tools such as Hyperion Essbase.
- CPA or advanced degree in accounting or finance.
