Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Program Directors to develop and implement orthodontic treatment plans
  • Provide direct supervision to residents and ensure they meet the highest standards of patient care
  • Develop and deliver educational programs for residents, including lectures, seminars, and clinical demonstrations
  • Participate in the evaluation of residents and visiting students with orthodontic focus
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of patient care
  • Supervise and educate staff on orthodontic procedures and techniques
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and provide treatment
  • Participate in the Craniofacial Clinic at YNHH and evaluate patients requiring orthodontic treatment
  • Attend and participate in the Orthognathic Surgery Conference
  • Work with support and administrative personnel to improve processes and patient flow within the dental clinics
Requirements
  • D.M.D./D.D.S. or equivalent professional degree
  • Certificate in Orthodontics required; Master's in Orthodontics preferred
  • One year of post-residency experience required; three years of continuous Orthodontics experience in an academic or private practice setting preferred
  • CT Dental License and CT Controlled Substance License preferred

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Demonstrated scholarship in teaching and curriculum development
  • Proven track record in developing and enhancing strategic growth initiatives
