The primary emphasis of this role is on design leadership, focusing on fostering new business opportunities and mentoring junior engineers with minimal supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conceptualizes, develops, and designs mechanical systems and structures in alignment with client specifications and industry standards.
  • Conducts necessary calculations, analyses, and thorough tolerance stack-up assessments.
  • Provides leadership in all aspects of mechanical design while supporting the engineering team.
  • Oversees design initiatives for systems and subsystems, often managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Assists in proposal development and rapid concept design efforts through CAD modeling and visual presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Typically possesses over 6 years of experience in aerospace and/or defense sectors, including familiarity with electromechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading product development testing, including qualification test series.
  • Proficient in utilizing data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
  • Strong background in heat transfer, structural analysis, dynamics/kinematics, advanced materials, CAD, and machine design.
  • Skilled in SolidWorks and knowledgeable in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
