Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to join our team at Careerbuilder-US. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing and controlling assigned projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all MEP project logistics, including site safety, productivity, schedule, quality control, and trade contractor and supplier coordination.
  • Implement project schedules and coordinate with entire construction teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure budget adherence and monitor project expenses to prevent cost overruns.
  • Attend Operations and Administration Committee (OAC) meetings to communicate project progress, address concerns, and provide updates.
  • Assist with the preconstruction and estimating phases of projects, ensuring accurate estimates and project plans.
  • Direct field personnel in accordance with project plans and schedules, ensuring effective team management.
  • Ensure the implementation of health and safety plans throughout the project team, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, daily reports, budgets, progress updates, and other project-related information.
  • Remain involved in preconstruction and close-out processes, ensuring smooth project transitions.
  • Coordinate punch list items and procedures to ensure timely completion and quality standards.
  • Keep detailed daily records of MEPS trade contractors' and work progress, facilitating effective project management.
  • Daily communication with the Project Manager to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Review and interpret plans, specs, and other technical documents to ensure accurate project execution.
Requirements
  • 6-8+ years of relevant construction experience, preferably in MEP project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams.
