**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our interdisciplinary treatment team at the University of Rochester. As a key member of our team, you will provide counseling services to individuals with substance use disorders, assisting in the development of treatment goals and collaborating with other team members to ensure comprehensive care.

**Responsibilities:**

Conduct intake evaluations and assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

Provide group and individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to support patients' recovery.

Collaborate with social workers to facilitate referrals and ensure seamless transitions between levels of care.

Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop treatment strategies.

Maintain ongoing education and training in chemical dependency counseling, staying current with best practices and research.

**Requirements:**

Master's degree in a related field and certification as a NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) or (CASAC-T).

1+ year of experience in a chemical dependency program, preferably in an inpatient or residential setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
