About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Intern to join our team at KCF Technologies, Inc. As a DevOps Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, assist with larger Cloud Infrastructure initiatives, and collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and manage Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud resources.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
  • Manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts to boost Engineering productivity.
  • Interface with Engineering teams to provide infrastructure to support applications.
  • Update legacy infrastructure and servers to conform with current best practices.
  • Perform Linux system administration tasks.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or other related degree program, entering their Junior or Senior year.
  • Successful completion of mid-level courses in Computer Programming.
  • Previous experience with AWS or another major cloud provider is a plus.
  • Familiarity with command line tools.
  • Understanding of Linux system administration and Networking concepts.
  • Knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages (Python, Bash scripting, etc.).
  • Interest in cloud computing technology.
  • Able to study cloud provider documentation and source code to develop an understanding of the existing systems and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to operate in a team environment with other DevOps and Software Engineers.
  • Strong organization and attention-to-detail.
  • Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful and inventive.
