GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

This role involves professional-level responsibilities in delivering both direct and indirect support to clients and their families. The work is conducted across various settings within Public Health, Mental Health, or Social Services, concentrating on enhancing the client's physical, social, and economic well-being. Clients may face challenges such as strained family relationships, abuse or neglect, interpersonal conflicts, mental health issues, and other significant life changes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. **Assessment and Planning**: Conduct thorough evaluations of client situations, develop comprehensive social histories, and create tailored service or treatment plans.

2. **Direct Support**: Provide essential counseling, crisis intervention, and support in areas including family dynamics, health adjustments, and behavioral management.

3. **Collaboration**: Work closely with schools, families, and other service providers to coordinate care and support plans.

4. **Foster Care Engagement**: Participate in the recruitment and training of foster parents, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

5. **Community Resource Development**: Identify and develop community resources and volunteer programs to enhance service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited institution.
- One year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Strong understanding of social work principles and practices.
- Ability to establish rapport and effectively communicate with clients and families.
- Knowledge of community resources and the ability to navigate complex service systems.
