Quality Technician

Avispa Technology is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical assessments of finely machined and turned sub-miniature high-frequency electronic components to verify their performance and precision. A background in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is essential, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and familiarity with mechanical measurement tools. Compensation and Benefits for Quality Technician:

  • Hourly wage: $25/hr
  • Employment type: W2 with comprehensive benefits including Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Retirement Savings Program, and Paid Sick Leave
  • Standard work hours: 40 hours/week, with a commitment of 24 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute mechanical evaluations of precision milled and turned sub-miniature high-frequency electronic components to confirm their functionality and accuracy.
  • Apply technical expertise directly to tasks.
  • Collaborate within your area of specialization: identify, analyze, develop, and implement solutions while assisting the company's technicians and Process Engineers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with automated software platforms is advantageous.
  • Experience with coordinate measuring machines and optical surface profilers is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ability to read technical blueprints.
  • Proficient in the use of mechanical measurement hand tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Windows and Office applications.
  • Demonstrated competence in both electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work towards clearly defined objectives.
  • Capable of resolving technical issues of limited scope and complexity.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across various levels.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of business ethics.
  • Consistent and reliable contribution to team objectives.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, starting at 5:30 am for an 8-hour shift, or
  • Monday to Friday, starting between 8:30 am and 9:00 am for an 8-hour shift.
