Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance Technician at Semtech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products. You will work closely with engineers to set up and calibrate equipment, perform quality assurance procedures, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming products to ensure they meet order requirements and specifications
  • Perform analytical tests and take samples as required
  • Repackage and label products as needed and release them into production or inventory control
  • Identify and control nonconforming products and complete related documentation
  • Communicate daily activities, including work performed, problems encountered, and resolution
  • Assist in performing audits of production, quality, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with documented procedures and customer specifications
  • Maintain calibration equipment and ensure that documents, records, and samples are cataloged, archived, and stored properly
  • Identify gaps or deficiencies in the quality management system and provide solution-based suggestions using data to facilitate improvements
  • Assist with corrective actions using problem-solving tools and methodologies to ensure closure of issues and prevent recurrence
  • Assist with training other personnel in quality systems and standards
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by maintaining an organized and efficient work area
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and approved cleanroom protocol
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3-5 years' work experience in manufacturing quality
  • Associates degree or higher with 1-3 years' experience in manufacturing quality
  • Detailed-oriented and well-organized, capable of performing and prioritizing quality operations in multiple functional areas
  • Proficient user of MS Office applications and knowledgeable in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and quality monitoring and control systems
  • Experience working with microscopes, automated vision systems, calipers, gage blocks, and mechanical tests
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage time and priorities
  • Strong safety mindset, including identifying issues and proposing corrective actions
  • Ability to work hours based on business and facility needs, including skewed schedules and work on weekends and holidays as required

The starting salary range corresponding to the role follows:

QA Technician 2: $41,600.00 - $54,500.00

Will be paid based on education and years of experience.

This position will remain open until filled.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, personal time off, and other benefits available. QA Technicians are eligible for quarterly bonuses and 10% shift differential for swing shifts or 15% shift differential for night shifts.
