Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our meat department team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring effective and profitable operations through sales maximization and team member growth.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process deliveries, breakdown loads, and rotate cooler stock.
- Weigh, price, and label products.
- Stock cases and prepare valued-added products.
- Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
- Manage inventory, control costs, and meet sales and labor targets.
- Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation, food safety, and quality assurance.
- Train and develop team members, and manage the department in the meat manager's absence.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
- Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to use and learn equipment and tools used in the job.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
