Medical Support Assistant

Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will provide clinical support to providers in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key responsibilities include coordinating patient care activities, obtaining vital signs, and performing administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Check in patients and obtain vital signs
- Medication reconciliation and patient medical history information
- Expediting patient flow and rooming patients
- Stocking clinic supplies and navigating electronic health records
- Scheduling appointments and assisting with medication fill and refill requests
- Communicating with pharmacies, insurance companies, and patients
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate confidential databases
- Basic Life Support and other advanced training as needed
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior working experience in a medical office or clinic
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current licensure
