Toolmaker

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining tools and equipment for our manufacturing processes.

• Select materials and lay out project components for machining operations.
• Perform complex machining operations, including setup and operation of machine tools.
• Construct temporary fixtures and jobs, and grind special purpose tools.
• Improvise measuring devices to check components and project assemblies.
• Perform critical bench operations to construct, finish, maintain, and repair molds.
• Design new tooling and fixtures for new parts in the plastic department.
• Set up new or modified tools and dies in production machines.
• Provide instruction to operators on operational methods, care, and procedures.
• Ensure quality of workmanship, dimensional accuracy, and efficient mechanical operation of assigned projects.

• Machining operations experience.
• Ability to work with a variety of materials and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
