Your expertise will help us provide high-quality care to our patients while maintaining compliance with coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements.

### Responsibilities

* Apply diagnostic and procedural codes to patient health records for document retrieval, analysis, and claim processing
* Abstract pertinent information from patient records and assign ICD, CPT, or HCPCS codes
* Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements
* Conduct chart audits for physician documentation requirements and internal coding
* Query physicians when code assignments are not straightforward or documentation is inadequate

### Requirements

* Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential preferred
* High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
* Ability to maintain productivity and quality rates as defined by coding policy
