Part-Time Member Service Representative

At Mountain America Credit Union, we strive to deliver exceptional service experiences to our members. As a Member Service Representative, you will play a vital role in helping our members achieve their financial goals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide top-notch service to our members, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional member service by assessing member needs, advising on products and services, and assisting with transactions.
• Recognize member needs, educate on financial management options, and cross-sell products and services as needed.
• Consistently focus on increasing member satisfaction and account retention.
• Meet sales and service goals by utilizing lead lists to make outbound efforts and providing consultation on credit union products and services.
• Resolve member complaints by clarifying issues, determining causes, and providing solutions.
Branch Operations
• Maintain cash drawers and accurately process transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Initiate wire transfers, cashiers checks, and cash advances, and create VISA cards as needed.
• Open and process IRA transactions, certificates of deposit, and redeem savings bonds.
• Use judgment to place check holds and issue fee reversals, and assist fraud victims by processing disputes.
Other Responsibilities
• Represent the credit union in a professional manner, both in dress and actions.
• Keep work areas neat and clean, and respond to email and voicemail in a timely manner.
• Actively participate in product knowledge courses and travel as required.
• Comply with all regulations as required by law, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• At least six months of customer service experience.
• Industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
Physical Demands
• Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms consistently.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch occasionally.
• Close vision required for tasks such as reading and writing.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Working Conditions
• Moderate noise level in a business office environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
