Available Positions: Full-time and Part-time

Position Summary

This role is classified as non-exempt, reporting directly to the Assistant Manager and General Manager.

As a Food Service Associate at Zaxby's, your primary objective will be to guarantee that guests receive an exceptional experience by consistently providing high-quality meals promptly. Your duties will encompass receiving and organizing inventory, preparing and cooking food items, maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, and adhering to food safety and quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about current promotions
  • Represent the Zaxby's brand positively
  • Assist with guest service and front-of-house operations
  • Prepare menu items according to company standards while ensuring safety and hygiene
  • Handle food and beverages following safety regulations
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment for food preparation
  • Maintain adequate stock levels in assigned areas for immediate needs
  • Accurately prepare and package guest orders
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in the work environment

Additional Duties:

  • Keep workspaces organized and tidy
  • Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs to management
  • Assist with inventory and storage management
  • Receive and stock incoming inventory deliveries
  • Handle and store food items in accordance with safety protocols
  • Notify management of inventory needs
  • Clean and organize storage areas
  • Complete tasks promptly and with urgency
  • Adhere to safety guidelines while working
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 15 years
  • Ability to work between 10 to 40 hours per week

Physical Requirements

  • Continuously sit, stand, and walk
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Consistent use of hands and wrists for various tasks
  • Effective communication through speech, reading, and writing
  • Maintain good audio-visual perception and judgment
  • Adapt to varying temperatures and food allergen exposure
  • Safely operate restaurant equipment, including knives and fryers
