Job Overview

In this position, you will collaborate within a dynamic team to conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on aircraft, as well as manage maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of engines and their associated systems through safe and efficient maintenance practices. Additionally, you will contribute to modifications on aircraft, pylons, and test engines on Boeing flying test beds.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties
  • Execute maintenance and modifications on Boeing flying test beds.
  • Remove and install jet engine modules, performing various machining and repair tasks using hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • Conduct sheet metal repairs.
  • Accurately complete all documentation in accordance with company policies and FAR 145 regulations.
  • Install, inspect, test, adjust, or repair test engines and pylons.
  • Plan the installation of assemblies/systems in aircraft based on blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Utilize maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, component overhaul manuals, engine manuals, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct tests on aircraft systems.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • Complete parts tags, log books, engineering logs, component change logs, and task cards with precision and attention to detail.
  • Understand environmental safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate cherry pickers, man lifts, and forklifts.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Flightline Manager or Lead Technician.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Possession of a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in varying climate conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Capability to lift at least 50 pounds (with or without assistance).
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Able to work at heights of up to 80 feet.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must successfully complete additional security screening as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.
  • Compliance with Zero Tolerance DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program (14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40).
Preferred Attributes
  • Two-year technical degree.
  • Demonstrated capability to train others.
  • Familiarity with FAR145 Repair Station Procedures.
  • Experience with wide-body Boeing aircraft.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in a team setting and in aircraft maintenance and safety.
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret Company and Manufacturer Manuals.
  • Capability to perform all line maintenance functions independently.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive and may vary based on experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary.
