Materials Analyst Customer Service Specialist

This position is responsible for procuring materials to support manufacturing requirements, maintaining inventory levels, and managing suppliers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of materials management principles, and experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize systems to analyze material requirements and place purchase orders.
- Expedite or de-expedite orders as necessary and maintain Visual Pull inventory.
- Analyze and adjust inventory levels, including safety stocks and excess/obsolete material.
- Manage the supply base, including vendor performance and lead time reduction.
- Maintain HP 3000 System integrity by reviewing automated weekly audits.
- Support Global Strategic Sourcing initiatives and follow Quality Management System requirements.
- Work with customers as the main contact for orders and shipment scheduling.
- Maintain accuracy of customer orders in the system.
- Schedule strip shipments and work with freight companies to ensure on-time delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree in business, materials management, or operations, or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in materials management, purchasing, buying, or planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical abilities, including math skills, and knowledge of Constraint Management principles.
