About the Job: We are seeking a highly skilled High-Quality Eyewear Specialist to join our team. As a Licensed Optician, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating value in the lives of our customers by crafting high-quality eyewear that exceeds their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all customers and set clear expectations regarding their eyewear needs.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expertise and guidance to colleagues.
  • Take and record measurements, adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
  • Assist colleagues with complex product needs and prescriptions.
  • Accurately and thoroughly use technology under time pressure and high customer volume, possessing exceptional product knowledge and utilizing appropriate tools.
  • Be proactive, exploring root causes of issues, thinking forward, ensuring customer satisfaction, and exceeding expectations.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively amidst competing priorities.
  • Strive for exceptional results on brand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and competencies.
  • Take pride in store appearance, help maintain a clean, attractive, and organized environment.
  • Inform management about safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Be resourceful, self-motivated, with a desire for continuous learning, improvement, and results.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State Licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS), computers, and calculators.
  • Embrace new technology and change.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on location and experience.
