Facility Sanitation Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sanitation Manager to join our team at Shamrock Foods Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of sanitation policies, procedures, and systems within our internal plant.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Quality leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and implement sanitation programs, procedures, and systems that meet and exceed regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all company, regulatory, and customer requirements, including FSMA, PMO, CFR, SQF Certification, and third-party audits.
- Develop and maintain plant Master Sanitation Schedule, Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems, Sterilize-In-Place (SIP) systems, and environmental monitoring programs.
- Implement sanitation and allergen preventive controls as part of the facility Food Safety Plan.
- Verify and maintain all records associated with Master Sanitation Schedule, CIP Titration logs, CIP Charts, Pre-Operational Inspections, and environmental monitoring programs.
- Collaborate with sanitation chemical and equipment suppliers to optimize cost savings and equipment management.
- Conduct regular reviews of sanitation/CIP effectiveness and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and conduct facility sanitation training programs to ensure safe use of sanitation chemicals and equipment.
- Support the company's operational priorities by identifying opportunities for quality, safety, and waste reduction/productivity improvements.
- Promote a safety culture by training and reviewing associate behaviors and implementing safety initiatives.
- Communicate special sanitation requirements to Plant Leadership.
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a dairy/beverage manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of dairy processing, regulatory compliance, GMP, sanitation, CIP, HACCP, and GFSI certification.
- FSMA PCQI, HACCP Manager Certification, SQF Practitioner Certification, and SQF Auditor Certification or ability to complete within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Regularly stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
