Job Summary:

The Automotive Service Manager at Mills Auto Group is a key role in driving the success and efficiency of our dealership's service department. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of automotive service, including customer service, parts, inventory, and personnel.

This is a full-time, individual contributor position with a competitive compensation package, including a base salary plus commission, offering a salary range of $80,000 to $120,000 per year, paid twice a month.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the service department, including customer service, parts, inventory, and personnel.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the dealership.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase service department profitability and efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze service department performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality service standards.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all service department activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and implement best practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in Automotive Technology or a related field preferred.
  • At least 35 years of experience in automotive service management.
  • Proven track record of success in increasing service department profitability and efficiency.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Solid knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software related to automotive service.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
