Key Responsibilities:- Originate and Process Mortgage Loan Requests: Interview and process mortgage loan requests from members, analyzing supporting documentation and evaluating credit worthiness.
- Provide Superior Member Experience: Actively listen to and assess the needs of members, explaining the features and benefits of targeted products and services, and offering targeted solutions to meet their needs.
- Grow Credit Union Membership: Assist in growing the credit union membership by self-sourcing mortgage applicants, working closely with referral partners such as realtors, builders, and other trade organizations.
- Meet or Exceed Origination Goals: Meet or exceed annual department origination goals as set by the VP of Lending and Management.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Knowledge: Maintain a thorough knowledge of the products and services offered by the credit union, as well as industry trends and regulations.
- Experience and Knowledge: Minimum three years of experience originating, underwriting, and approving mortgage loans, with a solid understanding of laws and regulations governing lending and financial institutions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to formulate creative solutions that strengthen relationships with members and business partners.
- Communication: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate lending-related topics clearly and succinctly to others.
