POSITION OVERVIEW

The Aerospace Quality Inspector will adhere to the technical data outlined in the manufacturer's instructions for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, and letters, conducting preliminary hidden damage assessments, in-process inspections, and final evaluations on civil aviation projects, in compliance with aviation airworthiness directives and industry standards approved by the FAA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Day in the Life of an Aerospace Quality Inspector:

  • Maintain thorough familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, tools, and equipment relevant to assigned responsibilities.
  • Ensure proficiency in utilizing inspection aids and confirm that all tools are in proper working order with appropriate calibration.
  • Understand and apply current specifications regarding inspection tolerances and procedures as established by the manufacturer.
  • Perform and document all inspections accurately, ensuring all records are completed before final approval for return to service.
  • Effectively replace any failed sub-assembly, part, or component to restore functionality.
  • Execute scripted repair procedures to test and validate parts or products.
  • Collaborate with Repair Technicians, Engineers, and Technical Services as needed.
  • Adhere to inventory control practices and procedures consistently.
  • Interpret OEM manuals and router instructions effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • Powerplant License.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair concepts.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to isolate failures and complete rework of parts and assemblies.
  • Commitment to maintaining company quality standards.
  • Ability to follow predefined testing and repair procedures.
  • Capability to learn and perform basic repairs.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding routers and OEM manuals.
  • Business proficiency in English.
  • Experience with borescope inspection.
Preferred:
  • Experience with CFM56 engines.
  • Familiarity with Quantum aviation software.
  • Business proficiency in Spanish.
