Job Summary

The University of California, Davis is seeking a highly skilled Patient Navigator Non-Clinical Specialist to join our team at the Trauma Recovery Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive services to victims of crime ages 0-30 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess community and resource support systems for participants in the Trauma Recovery Center and their families.
  • Formulate patient-centered care plans and assist patients and their families with navigation of health system and community resources.
  • Arrange and monitor the provision of social services and mental health services for Trauma Recovery Center patients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Experience working on a multidisciplinary team supporting mental health therapists.
  • Experience working with youth and young adults affected by violence or involved with the Justice System.
  • Knowledge of intervention techniques and trauma-informed practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of Violence Prevention Professional Certification within 3 months of hire.
  • Completion of CITI Basis course for Social and Behavioral Researchers and Staff within 3 months of hire.
  • Completion of Mental Health First Aid training within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience working with Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program (HVIP).
  • Experience in healthcare or hospital settings.
