We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Pediatric Unit team at Akron Children's Hospital. As a Staff Nurse in this unit, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to infants, children, and adolescents with a range of medical conditions.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care with a focus on family-centered care for individuals or groups of patients within the assigned scope of practice.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of the patients served, regardless of age and developmental status.
- Perform leadership and professional duties.
- Participate in the development education for staff members for clinically related issues.
- Support the provider staff and actively promote collaboration for efficient operation and quality care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association is required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio is required.
