Position Overview:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the production team operates under efficient and safe manufacturing protocols. This role adheres to the production timeline while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Leading off-shift operations while achieving key performance indicators such as safety, quality, cost, and service.
Overseeing production and other departments as necessary.
Managing the team, including recruitment, coaching, performance evaluation, and talent development.
Operating within labor and operational expenditure budgets.
Monitoring the production process with regular checks and adjustments to equipment or work practices in line with standard operating procedures.
Ensuring that equipment in assigned areas is operational and that working conditions are safe at all times.
Verifying the production line's readiness at start-up.
Supervising changeovers.
Managing overall product and package quality to meet all standards and specifications.
Implementing process improvement initiatives.
Analyzing performance data to identify business opportunities.
Other projects or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 3 years in consumer products manufacturing, particularly in food and/or beverage sectors, and 0 to 1 year of leadership experience.
Experience in managing performance metrics.
Self-motivated and disciplined team player.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational abilities.
Capability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to identify and resolve process, systems, and mechanical failures.
Proficient in computer and database applications.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
This position requires passing a post-offer background check and drug screening.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other Organizational Effectiveness methodologies.
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Electrical Certification.
Vocational Certification.
