At Excelsia Injury Care, we provide comprehensive management services to a network of healthcare companies across Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Our clients offer a wide range of office-based diagnostic, surgical, and rehabilitation services, delivered by skilled professionals who prioritize patient care and outcomes.
Job Responsibilities- Work on a computer to process and manage medical claims
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to maintain accurate patient information
- Scan and upload documents, as well as correspond with attorneys and their staff
- Print and mail claims and corresponding notes to insurance companies
- Work with workers' compensation denials and accounts receivable follow-up
- Knowledge of PA Workers' Comp Law and understanding of WCAIS and Bureau documents
- Answer emails and make/answer phone calls
- Multi-task and perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of insurance plans, workers' compensation, and personal injury
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of computer applications, including Windows, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
- Confidence in working independently
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM
- Working knowledge of insurance guidelines and billing and collection procedures
- Ability to effectively interact with doctors, attorneys, patients, and co-workers
