As a Medical Biller, you will:
- Work on a computer.
- Utilize the EHR system.
- Scan and upload documents.
- Correspond with attorneys and their office staff.
- Print claims and corresponding notes.
- Mailing claims/notes to insurance companies.
- Work on workers comp denials.
- Accounts Receivable follow-up.
- Knowledge of PA Workers Comp Law.
- Understanding of WCAIS and Bureau documents.
- Answer emails.
- Make and answer phone calls.
- Multi-task.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge of insurance plans, workers' compensation, and personal injury.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including Windows, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Confidence in working independently.
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM.
- Working knowledge of insurance guidelines and billing and collection procedures.
- Ability to effectively interact with doctors, attorneys, patients, and co-workers.
