Your Role:


The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is essential in patient care, contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs), the LPN offers guidance in patient education and activities aligned with their qualifications and demonstrated competencies.


Core Responsibilities:


Under RN supervision, evaluate patients' physical, psychological, and social aspects in both healthcare and housing units, aiding in personalized treatment planning and consulting with RNs and staff as necessary.

Execute treatment plans directed by healthcare practitioners, administer medications (including IV therapy if certified), and conduct diagnostic tests according to established protocols.

Participate in controlled substance counts at the start of each shift, following safety procedures and standard precautions while responding to health emergencies within established guidelines.

Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing interactions using SOAP charting, ensuring effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel.

Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to policies and procedures in delivering high-quality patient care.


Qualifications:
Education

Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

Experience

Preferred minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience.

Licenses/Certifications

Must hold and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
