Job Title: Therapist - OP

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapist - OP to join our team at Beacon Hospital Management. As a Therapist - OP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality counseling services to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Therapist - OP will be responsible for providing direct care to families, utilizing the core competencies of addiction counseling and/or mental health counseling. This includes serving as a family counselor for up to 20 families, working 40 hours a week, and serving as a resource person for other professionals in their specific area of expertise.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to families utilizing the core competencies of addiction counseling and/or mental health counseling.
  • Serve as a family counselor for up to 20 families.
  • Work 40 hours a week.
  • Serve as a resource person for other professionals in their specific area of expertise.
  • Co-sign all notes written by students, interns, and unlicensed professionals under their supervision.
  • Assist with any family-related issues, conflicts, evaluations, and other follow-up as needed.
  • Facilitate the Parent Group as needed.
  • Prepare for and facilitate a weekly group with residents.
  • Prepare and write notes or other documents related to treatment and recovery within 48 hours of intervention/contact.
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to ensure the highest quality of care for clients.
Requirements:
  • Maintain a current and unrestricted license with their respective professional board or licensing authority in the state of Louisiana.
  • Have a master's degree in social work or counseling from an accredited university or equivalent education in the treatment of addictive disorders.
Reporting and Accountability:

Family counselors report and are accountable directly to the Clinical Director.
