Job Description

Serco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Acquisition Logistics SME to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will provide expert-level support to government and industry clients, leveraging your extensive knowledge of acquisition logistics management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and analytical support to logistics initiatives, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of acquisition services.
  • Support customers in reviewing and updating DoD product support policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to high-level strategic planning, policy development, and business process improvements, driving organizational excellence.
  • Facilitate customer meetings and workshops, providing expert-level support and guidance.
  • Support customer workshops and decision-making sessions, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during proposal development, ensuring accurate and effective solutions.
  • Support readiness requirements and reporting procedures, ensuring seamless execution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 10 years of related acquisition logistics experience, including 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Experience with weapon system sustainment planning and execution, product support management, sustaining engineering, and depot maintenance planning.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management at the wholesale and retail levels.
  • Knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and required sustainment planning during each phase.
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to lead a collaborative team in completing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both writing and verbal.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills for Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical or business-related Master's Degree.
  • Clear understanding of the DoD acquisition and sustainment organizations at the headquarters, MAJCOM, and field levels.
  • Familiarity with the DoD's Integrated Product Support Element structure and definitions.
  • DOD Acquisition Certification (DAWIA) Level III for Life Cycle Logistics.
  • Familiarity and application of the DoD Product Support Business Case Analysis Process/Guidance and the DoD Independent Logistics Assessment Process/Guidance.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of the DoD Product Support Managers Guidebook and the process for developing Life Cycle Sustainment Plans.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Access, Project, and Visio.
