  • Implement therapeutic activities and interventions based on treatment plans developed by the SLP to support the communication goals of young children.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with children to improve their communication skills and promote language development.
  • Assist in preparing materials and resources for therapy sessions to ensure a smooth and effective delivery of services.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required by regulations to ensure compliance and inform future interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support speech and language goals in classroom and home environments, promoting a cohesive and supportive approach to communication development.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies to ensure a comprehensive and effective approach to supporting young children's communication needs.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
  • Arizona state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
  • Experience working with young children, particularly in early childhood or educational settings.
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
