Land 'N' Sea Distributing, Inc., a comprehensive wholesale distributor, has been serving the Marine and RV sectors for over four decades. We are currently seeking a Fleet Operations Specialist to enhance our team. We offer a competitive starting salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401k Company Match and Profit Sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain driver compliance files, collaborating with distribution centers to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Utilize fleet safety and telematics data to pinpoint coaching opportunities, working with Business Development Managers to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct safety reviews of fleet-installed video systems and manage all follow-up actions and tracking.
  • Collaborate with Regional Safety and Business Development Managers to create and enhance training materials for fleet drivers, aimed at improving safety performance and culture.
  • Assist in accident investigations and coordinate with insurance providers.
  • Act as a key participant in the Incident Review Committee.
  • Coordinate with equipment leasing firms to ensure complete accountability of assets.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in private fleet management or a related field.
  • Familiarity with DOT and Hazardous Material Compliance regulations.
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of transportation equipment.
  • Experience in implementing safe driving programs to foster a culture of safety.
  • Ability to analyze telematics data to identify unsafe driving behaviors (experience with Geotab preferred).
  • Prior experience in delivery driving is advantageous (CDL experience is a plus).
  • Strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and customers.
  • Detail-oriented with effective follow-up practices.

Working Conditions:

The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and the use of hands and arms to reach, pull, push, and move various materials. The work environment may include concrete and/or metal grating surfaces, and employees may be exposed to varying temperatures and dust.
