Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality radiographs, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures, adjusting immobilization devices and equipment controls as needed.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy, identifying anatomical orientation on all images and ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and other types of care to patients, as needed.
  • Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs, providing timely and effective support to patients and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent military radiologic technologist training.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and state license.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Preferred: American Society of Radiologic Technology membership.
