Compensation: This position offers a competitive salary of approximately $50,000 per year, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth. In addition to your base salary, you may also earn additional income through various benefits and bonuses, including:

  • A sign-on bonus of $6,000, paid out in two installments
  • A relocation bonus of up to $6,000 for out-of-state moves or $3,000 for in-state moves
  • A $1.25 per hour bonus for passing a conversational Spanish fluency test
  • $25 per day for APNs who are approved to precept/train

Job Description: As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Abortion Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive reproductive health care services, including abortion care, to our patients. Your duties will include:

  • Securing and reviewing patient health histories and records
  • Performing physical examinations, with a special emphasis on the reproductive system
  • Providing cancer screening testing, diagnosing sexually transmitted infections, and performing other specialized procedures as needed
  • Ordering diagnostic studies and providing appropriate treatment and follow-up care
  • Providing relevant education and collaborating with the health center team and other community agencies to provide comprehensive care
  • Providing birth control education and methods
  • Working with health center staff on routine health center upkeep
  • Participating in abortion services, which may include referrals, information, education, counseling, performing, scheduling, etc.
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service to internal and external customers by working towards a positive outcome with any problems encountered

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Current certification as an NP or CNM from a national certification organization
  • A valid Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife license in the state of Nevada or the ability to apply for one
  • At least 0-1 year of prior reproductive/sexual healthcare experience
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team
