Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Mitchell, IN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the overall production process operates at optimal levels, meeting supply needs and delivering high-quality products at the lowest possible cost.
  • Assess and recommend process improvements and equipment upgrades to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues, preparing reports and flow diagrams to ensure consistent and effective processes.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance department to coordinate mill and kiln line outages, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Work closely with the laboratory to monitor and maintain quality, ensuring compliance with local regulations and permit requirements.
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis and identify opportunities for improvement, contributing to the development of the Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) Plan.
  • Collaborate with the Heidelberg Competence Center to share and implement best practices, enhancing the technical and leadership capabilities of Operators and Production Supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of cement plant operating experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in process and project engineering, with progressive responsibility in production management.
  • Motivation, ability, and willingness to be on-call as required, including participation in the weekend coverage rotation.
  • Experience in the selection and installation of kiln system refractory materials.
