Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Manager to join our team at Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the Inventory Control team and ensuring efficient and accurate inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Manage the Inventory Control team, including recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Inventory Oversight: Assign duties, give verbal and written instructions, and review work for conformance to quality and safety standards.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Monitor sales and inventory levels to ensure accurate forecasts; compare sales forecasts to results and adjust orders as needed.
  • Vendor Management: Place regular and special orders with key vendors and prepare purchase orders.
  • Inventory Database Management: Maintain inventory database, ensuring data is accurate and timely.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Develop and report on department metrics, analyzing variances and recommending improvements.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with other managers to ensure coordination of inventory operations, production, shipping, and quality assurance.
  • Safety and Efficiency: Serve on the Safety Committee; recommend new and revised procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing an inventory operation.
  • Skills: Excellent management skills for directing, coaching, scheduling, and assisting team members; technical orientation with ability to learn new technologies; computer skills including MS Office; strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and detail oriented; ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines; team-oriented and collaborative.
