Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Line Supervisor to lead our 3rd shift baking operations at EPI Breads. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our production line, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Line Management: Coordinate the work of approximately 20 team members in all areas of the production line, ensuring that production targets are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Act as a subject matter expert for end-to-end bakery operations, coaching and training team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Assist the shift supervisor in creating weekly production schedules, ensuring adherence to the schedule and minimizing downtime.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain line compliance with all Food and Employee safety measures, identifying and addressing any potential hazards or risks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with maintenance, sanitation, quality, and IT teams to resolve any issues on the line, ensuring effective communication and relationships with machine leaders and other team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement ideas to improve efficiency and reduce waste for the production line, encouraging and providing ideas for continual improvement within the operation of the line.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience: Fully knowledgeable of all company products and specifications, with experience in the daily operation of the baking and packaging functions.
  • Technical Skills: Solid computer skills (Word, Excel), with the ability to recognize poor quality product(s) and make the appropriate discard decision.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Is flexible and able to work beyond regularly scheduled work hours on short notice.
