We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School After School Leader to join our team at the Greater Wichita YMCA. As a Middle School After School Leader, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for middle school students, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Build strong relationships with middle school students, parents, and staff
- Communicate effectively with Site Coordinator regarding programming and expectations
- Assist with the recruitment, planning, and management of students and daily activities
- Supervise and lead program participants in accordance with YMCA guidelines
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants
- Report any incidents or accidents to the Site Coordinator
- Attend all required training sessions and scheduled meetings
- Support Strong Community Campaign fundraising
- Minimum age of 18
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Relevant work experience working with youth
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as a team member
- Commitment to the YMCA mission, vision, and values
