Office Technician

Job Summary
This recruitment may be used to fill positions in Medical, Dental, and/or Mental Health in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting. The selected candidate will perform a variety of complex administrative duties, including typing, data entry, and record-keeping. They will also provide support to healthcare professionals and assist with patient care activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform typing and data entry tasks with high accuracy and speed
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including scheduling appointments and preparing medical records
- Assist with patient care activities, such as preparing patients for exams and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Typing certificate with a minimum speed of 40 WPM issued within the last four years
- One year of experience in California state service performing clerical duties at a level of responsibility equivalent to that of an Office Assistant, Range B
- Or two years of experience in typing and clerical work, with academic education above the twelfth grade may be substituted for one year of the required general experience
Special Requirements
- The position requires the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications
- A Background Investigation must be cleared prior to being hired
