HVAC Duct Fabricator

At Interstate Air Conditioning & Heating, we're seeking a skilled HVAC Duct Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you'll play a crucial role in producing high-quality HVAC ductwork.

Responsibilities:

• Select and process sheet metal materials according to product specifications.
• Operate various machines to cut, shape, and form sheet metal, including roller, rotodie, shear, punch press, and more.
• Drill and punch holes in metal for electrical components, screws, bolts, or rivets.
• Assemble components into products or repair sheet metal items using welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, and bonds.
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts.
• Develop and lay out patterns to optimize material usage.
• Insulate ductwork using glue and pinspotter.
• Maintain equipment, making repairs and modifications as needed.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fabrication tasks.
• Constant reaching and occasional lifting up to 70lbs.
