Job Summary:

UT Health Pittsburg is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team. As a Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality radiographs (X-rays) for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas.
  • Operate radiologic equipment, including mobile X-ray units, in various settings such as operating rooms, emergency rooms, and patient bedsides.
  • Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance, based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible.
  • Licensed with the Texas Department of Health according to regulations.
  • A minimum of 1 year's recent experience in a clinic or healthcare setting.
