Kartini Clinic, a pioneering pediatric eating disorder treatment center in Portland, OR, is seeking an intern to aid in its mission of providing comprehensive care for children with various conditions of disordered eating. As an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the intake process, ensuring seamless communication between families and healthcare providers.

The ideal candidate will be well-organized, attentive to detail, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

The estimated salary for this position is $15.00 per hour, commensurate with industry standards in Portland, OR. While this is an unpaid internship, it provides invaluable experience in a competitive field and may be eligible for academic credit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Send and obtain registration information from parents and healthcare providers for assessments
  • Coordinate release of information with parents and enter relevant details into patient electronic medical records (EPIC)
  • Create growth charts using patient records
  • Compile necessary information for doctors to facilitate accurate diagnoses
  • Maintain up-to-date provider care teams (EPIC)
Requirements and Attributes:
  • A strong passion for working with children
  • A Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a Bachelor's program
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Strong teamwork and positive attitude
  • Ability to obtain CPR certification
  • Background check compliance
