Principal Associate, Ping Engineer

At Capital One, we're looking for a skilled Principal Associate, Ping Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our identity and directory services team, you'll be responsible for analyzing, enhancing, and supporting our highly complex PingFederate Single Sign On platform in an AWS cloud hosted environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and enhance the PingFederate Single Sign On platform to ensure high availability and security.
  • Collaborate with enterprise identity teams to support platforms including Microsoft EntraID, AWS Microsoft AD, and Google Cloud Domain Directory.
  • Manage enterprise cloud infrastructures in AWS to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Translate business needs into workable technology solutions that meet the needs of internal customers.
  • Participate in or lead troubleshooting and incident resolution of complex, high severity incidents.
  • Develop automated solutions using scripts, pipelines, and cloud-based server-less computing platforms.
  • Develop detailed architecture, standards, design, and implementation documentation.
  • Analyze the current Authentication Services environment to identify both technical and operational opportunities and develop continuous improvement action plans.
  • Participate in disaster recovery, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and maintenance to ensure high availability.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Active Directory, AWS, PingFed, PingID, or GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
  • At least 1 year of experience with Cloud Infrastructure management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 4+ years of experience with PingFederate in enterprise-level environments, including Policy Management, Selectors, Adapters, Access Token Management, Adapter Configuration, SAML, OpenID Connect, SSO, API (OAuth 2.0).
  • 4+ years of experience developing complex scripts in Bash, NodeJS, Python, or other languages to develop automated solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience developing Infrastructure as Code in cloud-hosted environments using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
