Job Summary:
HHS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hospital Housekeeper/Floor Technician. As a key member of our Environmental Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning procedures in assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Operate floor care equipment, such as buffers and extractors, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Respond to pages and reports to the Environmental Services Director for work scheduling.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the department Director.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently and stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
- Ability to push and pull a maid cart, linen cart, or various equipment (over 100 pounds) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
- Ability to handle/interact with all chemicals used (i.e., bleach, wax, Virex, etc.).
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and other hours as needed per assigned area.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
