Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and treating patients with respiratory conditions, including critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adults, pediatrics, and neonates.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans under the direction of a physician.
• Conduct various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital, including ventilator management, oxygen delivery devices, and therapeutic monitoring.
• Analyze chest films, blood gas collections, and EKGs to inform patient care decisions.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, and participate in CAP and JC surveys.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current licensure in the state of employment.
• 3 years of experience in respiratory therapy, with a preference for those with CRT or RRT certification.
• BLS certification.
